Building Experiences that Build Character
Junior golf is just part of First Tee. Through our program that strengthens character, kids will learn life skills that stay with them into the rest of their lives, like:
- Understanding and managing emotions
- Resolving conflicts
- Setting up step-by-step goals
- Planning for the future
- Appreciating diversity
We offer a variety of different programs throughout the year so we invite you to learn more about our programs below.
First Tee Classes
Throughout the year, we hold weekly classes for kids to build their character on and off the golf course. In each class, we bring to life a life skill while having fun and learning golf such as: 5 Steps to meeting someone new, Personal Par, and Appreciating Diversity.
LPGA*USGA Girls Golf
Similar to First Tee, we are building girls to be strong, independent, empowered, and golf lovers! These classes give girls (new & experienced) an opportunity to learn golf with other girls and build lasting friendships and mentorships with our positive female role models, coaches, and volunteers.
After School Classes
We bring golf where you are at! At the schools who are set up with this, we come to the school and offer our First Tee programs at the school in the open green space to give students an opportunity to fall in love with the game of golf and build there character along the way.
Ernie Els #GameOn Autism Golf Program
Golf offers a variety of opportunities to practice key social and emotional skills. Our #GameOn program is designed for those on the autism spectrum to learn golf, be active, and practice their social, emotional, and communication skills.
