First Tee – Lake Erie is taking the game of golf to kids at Toledo Public Schools through our After-School Golf Program.

We use open green grass areas around the school and bring all of the equipment needed.  This intro golf program focuses on teaching basic golf skills in a way that allows each child to grow and explore golf in a way that makes sense to them.

  • What to bring to the course and proper clothing to wear
  • Where to stand when others are hitting
  • What happens when we lose a golf ball out of bounds, in a hazard, or on the course
  • How to keep score in stroke play, match play, and in tournaments
